Batavia, IL. Septebmer 2009 – Vanco International is introducing its newest addition to their already popular family of in-wall power solution products, Rapid Link Power Armored Kit.
Like other products in the Rapid Link Power Line, the Armored Kit is designed to provide an affordable in-wall power solution for wall mounted HDTV flat screen Plasma and LCD TVs. What is unique about the Armored Kit is that it provides an option for installers and consumers who live in areas where RomexÒ does not meet Electrical Codes or for installations where BX is preferred. This kit is unlike anything else on the market because it comes complete with a 6 ft BX/MC 2x14 AWG plus ground install ready whip and in-wall metal electrical boxes.
Unsightly cords can ruin the appearance and look of your wall mounted flat panel TV. With Rapid Link PowerÔ you simply cut one opening and place one wall plate near your mounted TV and another adjacent to the nearest wall receptacle. You then run a length of BX between the two openings behind the wall. Next, plug your flat panel television in and use the provided power cord to extend the power from your existing wall outlet to the new wall outlet that you installed next to it. The result is a clean and professional installation, free of hanging wires. Rapid Link Power is easy and safe to install at the same time as running A/V cables. Vanco carries a line of bulk cable wall pates and mounting brackets to run low voltage audio and video cables behind the wall for HDMI, component video and audio applications.
Rapid Link Power features a unique recessed power in-let wall plate that eliminates the risk of electrical shock and is also perfect for retrofit construction projects. This easy-to-install solution also saves time and money by not having to schedule and pay for an electrician to come in and install a standard electrical receptacle. It also offers a cost-effective way to protect expensive home theater equipment from surge damage. Rapid Link Power complies with National Electric Code Requirements. John Pryma, PE & RCDD/NTS and chair of TIA’s Residential Committee, commented, “Rapid Link Power Armored Kit takes about twenty minutes to install and provides a professional looking installation, which complies with National Electrical Code requirements for jurisdictions that require the use of metal conduit. Because the homeowner or installer is working with a passive circuit that has no current in it until it is plugged into a wall outlet to actuate it, the risk of electrical shock is eliminated. Rapid Link is a great solution for installing flat panel televisions on the wall.”
